Cheer Information

The following is what each cheerleader gets for their registration fee:

  • Uniform Rental
  • 2-3 Practices a week
  • Poms Rental
  • 1 Cheer Bow (To Keep)
  • At least 2 Cheer Competition Entry Fees
  • Uniform Tank (To Keep)
  • Varsity Only - Competition Fees & Additional Competition
  • JV - Competition Fees
  • Facility/Practice Space Rental
  • Certified Coach(s)
  • Homecoming Party (Partial Payment)
  • End of Year Banquet (Partial Payment) 
Per IRCA guidelines, season will start in July
    • July's focus will be on cheers for sidelines and workouts to improve strength/jumps
    • High school routine will be shared prior to Labor Day
    • Practice moves inside Lemont High School once routine practice 3 nights a week are established 
    • SL and LW 2 competitions
    • JV and V3 competitions
    • Hornets Tumbling will be open to anyone on current roster only
    • Uniform hand out prior to first competition at Village Center



  • If inclement weather is looming check your coaches page(s) for any updates or cancelations.
  • If practice has NOT been canceled but weather looks sketchy, hang around practice for a bit after dropping off your child to be sure it will run as scheduled.
  • If poor weather conditions roll in AFTER drop off be accessible and/or head over to field.  All children must be off the field if lightning strikes.

Cheer Tumbling:

While tumbling is not considered mandatory for any Hornet participant, we do recommend tumbling to build and maintain skills.
